Airmail - Lightning Fast Email App Reviews

I have bought AirMail because it was a decent mail client (much nicer than standard Mail coming with Mac OS X) with GPG support. Unfortunately GPG plugin does not work with 2.5 anymore, support is not replying to the emails.

Since version 2.0 has same annoying bugs and lack of features. It looks great, but it does not provide essential features like S/MIME. Plugin provided is not working at all…I tried write to support multiple times, with no answer from their side. Search is poor, when compare to MacMail or Thunderbird… Update 2.6 - still, does not provide S/MIME!!! Plugin is not working! So it is useless, still. Update 2.6.1 - instead of improvent it is going worse. I’am not able to send email!! App hangs every time I try to send email. Support does not exists at all. It is worst spent money on software in my life!

You finally fixed icloud contact pictures, but Airmail still uses gmail contact names instead of iCloud ones.

After I’ve started to have problems with mail.app hogging cpu when working with gmail, I’ve found Airmail as the most promising alternative to the native gmail interface (which I can’t force myself to like…). It wasn’t without it’s drawbacks, but I hoped for a quick development of features. Unfortunately, I don’t see much useful things being really developped. One very annoying thing - the way conversation view is done (you can’t easily access one separate mail, mails are blend into one, due to how they are presented, you can’t deleted an individual mail in a conversation….). There has been many request for changes in this regard, and nothing has been done so far :-/… I hope developers find finally some breath to move their product forward, as I would really like to stick to a new mailer for a longer while.

Much better if you will do Set the time delay. For example, if want to send my mail not at the Saturday night but at the Monday morning, then its not possible with Airmail for now! Daily experience is perfect anyway!

Not working correct with rambler mail, i can read letters, but i can`t see attachemets, they are not loading. How i should to work with this it? Waste of money, do not advise anyone to buy.

Please add the automatic mail rules. That’s the only thing that prevents me from using your app only.

Hey, where are file attachments by dragndrop on the bottom of message? Put them back, please.

Thanks a lot to the developers for this great app. Looking forwards to seing it on the iPhone and iPad. Just one suggestion. It would be great if I could select the gesture options myself. I don’t use the «Archive» option for swiping from left to right of the email so it would be nice to put other options there such as «Mark as Unread» or other as I am used to doing on Apple Mail app. I know there’s a shotcut for this, but I’d rather use gestures. So I’d appreciate a lot if this was to get available any time soon. Thanks again, guys!

Hey guys. First of, I’d like to tell you that yor application is very great! Althiugh, Can’t get how to redirect email in new version of it.

Dear developers, you’ve made awesome app, BUT there is a huge problem - it is not working properly with the Yandex.ru mailing service. It is not displaying all the «cc» and «who» adresses. Just last «cc» and «who». It is HUGE problem preventing using your app for the work. For mail.ru and gmail.com it is perfect app. Please make some corrections to your app to be fully functional.

Please fix!! Airmail lost all changes in settings after restart (password, signature etc) - PLEASE FIX

I have a problem with connaction to my account and I received excelent online support from Sherlyn (Help desk).

First of all, as soon as I installed this program to my Mac Air all my notes (which were sichronized via my Gmai account) disappeared. I sent a complaint to tech support but they just answered that it is not their fault - very good answer when you know that your customer is not a programmer. Of course it WAS their fault, because I used to keep my notes this way for years - just until the moment I decided to install Airmail. And a couple of weeks ago some of the messages from my wife disappeared from my Inbox folder. I founded them in SPAM folder on Gmail. I tried to solved the problem but eventually it appeared thet this was Airmail fault again. And I can’t get rid of this problem for several days - even though I have deleted Airmail and will never install it again.

I was an user of Airmail 1.0 since its birth. With the new version I lost most of the functions which I most used. In my opinio this is the most expansive and less functional version of this version! How is possible to delete function when improoving a software?

I like this app. It has very nice features and a nice interface. I would like to have some more control on the aspect. For example, change the opacity of the left sidebar (it’s a bit too opaque imho) or change it to be light like the other Yosemite apps. If you add it I’ll assign 5 stars. I’ve tried to contact the suport two times and both the times they stopped replying to me after few messages...

Such a great email app, with gmail it is amazing as you can manage all the tags and folders as if you were using the web google version of gmail. Moreover, it supports perfecly icluod account which is great to have all my email addresses in one app. To set up the icloud account you’ll have to use the so called app-specific password from your apple id account, I did not know that and I had been trying for so long to make it work with no success, so I contacted the live support and Scott kindly and quickly sent me a link which explained all the simple steps to follow to get it set up in airmail. Great Job !!!!
