Airmail - Lightning Fast Email App Reviews

I have both the Mac and iOS versions and am happy with both. Manage all my email accounts with this one app. I had a question on usage of the iOS app and got a response within 30 minutes of asking. Sherlyn was the one who helped me. Quickest customer service I’ve ever received. Bravo!

Lots of options, clean ui, snappy, nice intigration with other services and iOS app. Would be nice if macApp had a ‘send later’ function but for now I save as draft the schedule in iosApp

Searching by ascii characters like NDA works well, but by multibyte characters like 秘密保持契約... I hope itll be fixed shortly!

I gave up on Airmail 1.x after it failed to sync GMail accounts properly, leaving messages in my Inbox without actually showing them. Support didn’t respond. I decided to try Airmail 2 and that issue is resolved, but just like Airmail 1.x, there are some usability issues that make it difficult to use with only a keyboard: 1) I can’t use Command+<digit> to switch between accounts, instead it toggles filters, which are not useful. 2) Deleting an email with the Delete key selects the next email *down*, which makes it very inefficient to process a lot of email: read, delete, select next email with mouse, read, delete… 3) Mailbox navigation is Command+Ctrl+Right/Left, but accounts are sorted in a vertical list. Why not Command+Ctrl+Up/Down? Anyway, it’s better than using GMail on the Web, but it could be so much better.

Most of the shortcuts don’t work or sometimes stop working. Especially, I can’t archive with ⌘← and it’s very very frustrating. Also, spacebar just opens the message in a new window, but it should scroll down on the message. Filter rule is not flexible: especially I cannot forward mails by rule, and it’s really needed! (Forwarding emails by AppleScript doesnt work at all.) The snooze function works well and it’s definitely the best alternative to Mailbox.app!

Seriously make it work properly, or REMOVE POP3 totally, so we know that is not good for pop3!

If you reply mail by "send and archive”, you can not find the original mail and its attachments.

Sometimes it remains mail in the indbox and if you try to move it yourself, it will not because it is actually already moved but it shown is inbox somehow. If you close the app and restart it, you will see that it is actually moved. It does not filter mails correctly. Although I am sure that the keyword exist in the body of the message (I have check from raw source of mail) it does not filter it. Other than that, it works perfectly for me. There is no much difference between airmail 1 and airmal 2.

Im using 7 e-mail address for work and personal daily. I tried a bunch of apps one week to a month each including Apple Mail, Mail Pilot, Outlook, Cloud Magic, Unibox, Inky, Postbox, Mailmate, Sparrow, Thunderbird and Mailbox. Air Mail 2 is the most stable one, especially with IMAP. Fast, stable, reliable, clear & easy to use, very well designed. I recommend it.

Niestety, nowa wersja zżera masę RAMu i spowalnia cały komputer. Wiem, że nie jestem jedynym z takimi problemami (patrząc na forum/stronę supportową Airmail). Import ze starszej wersji nie zadziałał (ponad 100 tyś maili muszę ściągnąć znowu). Tak jak byłem zachwycony Airmail 1, tak jestem wielce rozczarowany Airmail 2. Niestety nieporozumienie. Aż żałuję, że kupiłem ten program. Unfortunately, the new version eats up a lot of RAM and slows the whole Mac down. I know I’m not the only one with these problems (looking at the support forum/web site for Airmail). The import from Airmail 1 didn’t work at all for me (which means I need to redownload over 100k emails). As much as I loved Airmail 1, I am very disappointed with Airmail 2. A regretful mistake and I regret having bought it.

The application constantly uses 30-50% of my CPU, just after first launch to initialize all accounts, main window is sluggish, and it is just unusable. When the process completed everything went normal and now seems to be working fine. It works like the previous version, which is fine :) Looks much better, but it does not seem to be worth extra money comparing to 1.x

EDIT: I do tego można za darmoche ściągnąć wersję beta, która śmiga już wcale nieźle. By the way, you can actually download the free beta version which happens to work pretty well.

Shouldn’t have been released yet 1. Eats up a lot of resources 2. My iMac is getting stuck occasionally (the strongest configuration! this is email client!) 3. Crashed 4 times so far (when archiving an email, or opening one)

Well Im addicted to Sparrwo mail app. As far as my personal point of view in concerned, the user experience of AirMail is horrible. The usage of system resources is so high that my computer cant work properly.

Lots of problems, and the support response is terrible. A ruined potential.

The program is quite useful and easy to operate. I like it, and I used also the version 1.0 and now 2.0. I used it till yestarday. The most important issue is if you updated your Yosemite to the version 10.10.3 the program is not working properly. Generally is not working at all. All you get is the whole white screen. I already send the information to the support but still didn’t get any answer how to solve it.

This is indeed very promising client but I cannot afford to play with it while using at work. Those bugs are not just cosmetic. I wouldn’t recommend to use that SW and wish to get my money back. Developers shouldn’t verify their product at the expense of our data integrity (for those who has many mails) and collecting money for such unmature product. Back on the native Mac mail client which doesn’t have many features but preductable and reliable.

The only thing that really disturbes me is that there are some issues with images on retina displays. So when you use images in your signature or paste them into conversation there will be a bug (image will be scales 2x down) on hover and this effect will disappear only when you try to scroll conversation. Same thing with small images. The will be enlarged 2x on when hovering over image. Really annoying. Just 3 stars yet for these stupid bugs.

I bought this program, but one of my imap account doesnt sync and support doesnt respond. Im very disappointed.
