Spam handling is HORRIBLE
A couple days ago I had 1000 spam emails get through their spam filtering all at once. Now I’m having to mark them as spam manually. Airmail theoretically works with Spam Sieve, which is phenomenal at what it does. But Airmail’s implementation is horrible. If email comes in while you’re looking at mail in some folder other than the Inbox, there is no spam filtering. God forbid you walk away from your computer and not have the Inbox selected. You’ll come back to a complete mess. There are also cases where OS X might start Airmail before Spam Sieve. In that case the email Airmail pulls will not get filtered and what’s worse there’s no way to filter it after the fact. On average 92% of my email is spam (about 450 per day). It’s 2016. If you can’t filter spam, you’re a crap email program.
Oh, and on top of that, Airmail’s interface makes the subject really big and the sender really small – which is very spammer friendly.
If you want a proper email program use Postbox. Problem is I need two different ones and finding a decent second is almost impossible.
