I was a long time user, but I’m moving on

I have used Airmail for a long time. Nicely organized, good looking design, generally useful. But the latest version of the app insists on creating unecessary folders in all my email accounts. Airmails task management features and the accompanying todo, notes, etc. folders have been around for a while, and you used to be able to turn them off. I use my email for email, not for task management, so those folders are completely unnecessary to me. But now Airmail insists that those folders must exist in every mail account you have. If you unmap them and delete the folders by hand (turning them off), the next time you launch the app, Airmail will recreate and remap them.

This may or may not be an issue for you. The rest of the app is just fine. But if you don’t use Airmails task management features and you don’t like your email accounts cluttered with unnecessary folders, you won’t like Airmail.
