OUTSTANDING! Plus excellent support
I purchased Airmail 3 a day ago and have already fallen in love with it. After playing around with it for about two hours after buying it, I purchased the IOS version.
Why would anybody pay $10 for an application that does the same thing free Apple Mail does? Because it does it so much better. I have barely scratched the surface on its functionality, but the more I investigate, the better it gets. I love the amount of control it gives ME in dealing with my mail.
I know one reviewer had trouble importing. I imported all my IMAP accounts from Apple Mail with no problems. Well, that’s not entirely true. I did need to change port numbers for SMTP. No big deal. And my one Microsoft Exchange Account imported with no glitches at all.
I’m running on macOS Sierra beta. I think this caused a problem with assigning custom icons to the accounts and establishing email signatures. However, once I established both the icons and the signatures in my iPad Airmail version, they synced almost immediately on my Mac.
As with any new software, there’s a bit of a learning curve. This is where their support has been as outstanding as their product. Last night at about 9:30, I went to their Facebook page and typed in a support question. I expected to have to wait about a day for an answer. I was amazed when a live human being responded within about three minutes. Then again today I had another question (due to my lack of understanding of the folder set up). I established a support ticket at about 7:45 in the evening. I got a response within, once again, about three minutes. Mark was able to resolve my problem very quickly. And as I said, it was me and not the software at fault.
I highly recommend Airmail 3 to anyone looking to go beyond the very basic functionality of Apple Mail.
